It's Gonna Cost You
A Boston hospital plans on using online gaming to raise funds. What happened to the old-fashioned cookie drive?
Children's Hospital of Boston is using online gaming to raise funds. Through a web fishing game developed by ObjectSoft, C-Systems, Microsoft, and Hewlett Packard, users may donate from US$5 to $750 to Children's Hospital while competing for prizes.
According to C-Systems CEO Barry S. Wadman, funds are transferred electronically directly into the Children's Hospital League account, so there are no administrative costs for the fundraiser. All services were donated.
