I find this sort of game odd and a little waste of time and electricity , i mean come on get you're arse off the floor and go out into the real world for a little exercise , plugging in a console to a tv so you can do it at home when you can just go outside aint very environmentally friendly now is it lol .

No its not a simulation, simulations can be fun, this is not fun, this is an extremely expensive aerobics video which MISLEADS people into believing it is something more than that. People will not get fit using the Wii Fit and those that actually buy it for that purpose are in reality being ripped off by a cheap gimmick. I hold this 'game' in the same category as all those quick fix fad diets: a clever way to make money without actually helping anyone improve their lifestyle.

The only problem with that is that unlike the other examples I listed, this one isn't just a simulation. While it probably won't get people in to the best shape they've ever been in, it encourages activity. Not just finger movement. And as I said earlier (which you undoubtedly ignored): "it's cheaper, easier, and much more entertaining." Just wanted to bring that up again, seeing as it's an incentive, and all.

They don't need to 'work out' gym-style, because they're active enough as it is. People there work virtually every day. Their work ethic is nearly suicidal. In addition to school, kids usually have some kind of club or team they're a part of, keeping them busy every day. Their diet is heavy on fish, vegetables, rice, etc. Not much meat, lots of protein. Their lifestyle, combined with their diet is probably why so many people are thin.

Let's be realistic, folks: a good number of people would rather give Wii Fit a go than join a gym for the same reason that Guitar Hero fans probably won't pick up a real guitar; it's cheaper, easier, and much more entertaining. Apply that same school of thought to anything else. Why play Madden when you could try going pro in the NFL? Why play team games online when you could go outside and play Capture the Flag? Why play DDR (at home or the arcade) when you could take some real dance lessons? Again: cheaper, easier, and more entertaining. Video games are an escape; people can enjoy something with the unpleasant parts cut out. Now, on topic: for only 2 days, that's an impressive showing. I know they were probably more interested in Japan than we are here, but that's still much more than I expected.

PS2 continues to make headlines but, the PS3 is lost in the best saling games Wii, DS and, even 360 dont have problems.

well if this is going to be like brain trainning, its going to start slow and then skyrocket.

Anything that gets people up and moving as they play is a good thing. A lot of people are too self conscious to go to the gym or even go jogging, some just find exercise boring. If wii fit gets them moving and stretching while dressing it up as some kind of even remotely "fun" game then that's great. I just hope the bundled software has a decent complement of exercises as 3rd parties never seem to use the Wiis hardware anywhere near as well as Nintendo themselves do.

Telling people who play Wii Fit to go to a gym is like telling someone who plays Guitar Hero and Rock Band to learn a real instrument. (Although Wii Fit is a lot cheaper than an actual gym membership or any workout equipment, and you can do it all in the privacy of your own home, plus the balancing board may be useful for other games in the future like snowboarding, since you can't do that year round in real life.) Anyways, sounds like a pretty cool idea. I know Boxing on Wii Sports can get you totally in shape (if you play it right, I've seen some kids just sit in a chair and flick the remotes, which totally defeats the purpose...)

Yeah.. I'm looking forward to Wii Fit. I definitely need to pre-order that and see what I can do to get back in shape. It's good to see XBox 360 software still selling in Japan. Hopefully system sales will pick up some this holiday.

Its amazing how different Japaneze gamers like to play from alot of countries. They certainly have their own unique taste.

Lets see whtat it does in the us., and then lets get some feedback with numbers.

i have 3 gym equipment already, so Wii fit is not for me. i`m sure most people already own some sort of work out equipment at home already. i heard wii fit is good for surfing and boarding games.

Why isn't there ANY PS3 titles in the top ten? I DEMAND TO SEE AT LEAST ONE TITLE FROM EACH CONSOLE IN THE TOP TEN!...Just kidding...lol
