Austrian publisher JoWood has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Xfire, the online games matchmaking service and community. Under the agreement, Xfire will support and promote a number of JoWood games, including SpellForce 2, Gothic III, and Panzer Elite Action, with more to be added in the future. Xfire offers a free downloadable client for PC gamers that includes a server browser, file download system, and instant messaging. The Menlo Park, California-based company was actually sued earlier this year by Yahoo!, which claims that the Xfire's IM client infringes on its own GameProwler application for Yahoo! Messenger. Take a look at the official Web site for more information on Xfire.
