Austrian publisher JoWooD Productions has announced an agreement with Finnish developer Bugbear Entertainment to release Historic Rally Trophy in late 2001. The racing game is the first historical rally simulation game developed for the PC and next-generation console systems, and it features 14 accurately modeled classic race cars and a variety of detailed courses. The 3D game engine includes particle effects, skid marks, reflections, and weather conditions such as snowfall, rain, and fog, as well as day and night cycles.

JoWooD plans to show the racing game at the E3 trade show in Los Angeles this May. For more information about Historic Rally Trophy, visit the Bugbear Entertainment Web site, which is linked below. Historic Rally Trophy is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2001.
