Square Enix's over-the-top open-world action game Just Cause 3 has gone gold, meaning development on the base game is complete ahead of its December 1 release date. Christopher Sundberg, CEO of developer Avalanche Studios, made the announcement today on Twitter.

"#JustCause3 is..... GOLD today!!" he wrote. "Awesome work to our team taking this creation of ours and have evolved it with excellence! #RicoWasHere"

Although Avalanche has completed work on Just Cause 3, development continues for the game's DLC, which takes the form of three expansion packs themed around air, land, and sea. In addition, Sundberg previously teased that Just Cause 3 could add multiplayer sometime after launch.

On top of announcing Just Cause 3's gold status today, Square Enix released a pretty cool 360-degree YouTube video that lets you soar over the game's island world of Medici. You can click and drag to rotate the camera to see in all directions or freeze it wherever you want.

A free Wingsuit Experience app is also available for iOS and Android devices that lets you move the camera simply by tilting your phone (provided you have a device with a built-in gyrometer). What's more, the app works with the Google Cardboard virtual reality setup.

Just Cause 3 is due out for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
