Most LCS followers have long considered Doublelift, WildTurtle, and Sneaky to be the top-3 ADC players in NA, with Imaqtpie and Cop rounding out the top-5. With the influx of new ADC players, like ROBERTxLEE and Vasilli, the depth of high-quality players at the ADC position is arguably the deepest it has ever been. One player in particular, Evil Geniuses’ Altec, has had a standout rookie season thus far and is quite possibly the most underrated player in the NA LCS.

Ranking the players based on statistics is difficult given that an ADC’s stats are so dependent on overall team performance. Altec might often go overlooked given that his team, Evil Geniuses, has won only seven games and is in last place in the league. Yet Altec’s statistics this season are surprisingly much better than one would expect. Keep in mind that Altec has played in only 23 games this season, compared with most other ADC players who have played in 24 games. The following tables show the ADC statistics, and Altec’s statistics are highlighted.

• 2nd Highest % of Team’s Kills
• Lowest Deaths per Minute
• Lowest % of Team’s Deaths
• 2nd Highest % of Team’s Gold
• 2nd Highest Minion Kills per Minute

ADC players average a 9.17 KDA in wins and a 2.38 KDA in losses. Given Altec’s win-loss record, his expected KDA is roughly [(7*9.17 16*2.38) / 23] = 4.44. Altec’s “average” KDA (in which each KDA counts as one instance, not “overall” KDA) is 6.22, which is 40% higher than his expected value. Another interesting stat is that Altec has the highest GPM in wins among all NA LCS players (455.91) – even higher than XiaoWeiXiao (453.25), Doublelift (439.54), and Shiphtur (432.00). The statistics show that Altec excels at not only avoiding deaths but also hard carrying his team in wins.

The statistics above obviously don’t convey the entire story, but they help show how well Altec has performed in various areas. For an ADC on a team in last place, the fact that Altec is in the top-3 in nearly every statistic shown above is quite remarkable. Altec could very well be the next great ADC in the NA LCS for years to come.
