Kameo 2 not in development

It just goes to show that Rare doesn't fit in with M$ at all. Even when Rare does manage to put out a good game, the majority of Xbox owners don't give a damn about games like Kameo because they rather have games like shooters and racing games.You may accuse me of fanboyism, but sales don't lie.

And why do you think M$'s first party line-up sucks when compare to Sony and Nintendo? Even when M$ branches out, not many give a damn.

Rare was better off with Nintendo. Oh and BTW, wasn't Kameo originally planned for GameCube?

Shame to hear this, one of the last great Rare games. Truly underrated.

Yeah this game is probably in the works usually if some one says no in marketing terms it usually means they are thinking about it or they have started on the project.

I played that game near launch; thought it was a great game, and never really turned back after that. It's a great game, or at least was, though I'm sure it's still fine, but I don't care either way for a sequel. I don't know how many others want it, so I may or may not be in the minority, but when it comes to Rare, I want another Perfect Dark. I probably wanted a sequel after I finished Kameo, but by now, I'm pretty indifferent about it.

Damn shame, I loved that launch game. I bought it with my 360 and enjoyed it, solid 8. Of course standards change over a generation and now it looks like an XBOX game, but it was plenty fun when the 360 launched. Would love to see RARE do something besides Kinect...

Microsoft is killing Rare. It is slow and agonizing but will come to an end soon

I wish rare WOULD do something, and not a nuts and bolts sequel. I'm talking about an honest to God, Banjo and Kazooie adventure game, not some carting puzzle shit. Hell, even Kameo was a breath of fresh air in their stagnate library of games after parting ways with Nintendo. Now all we get from them are viva pinata and kinect games...boo.

Rare really is just on life support at this point. If you want a strong indicator of that, they finally make a new Killer Instinct and some other studio is making it while Rare is basically making Wii Sports HD 3 aka Kinect Sports 3 or whatever it's called. It's hard to say what really killed Rare whether it was games like Kameo and Perfect Dark getting shuffled around, Viva Pinata tanking in sales or Banjo getting copy/pasted into a car building game but really we all know Rare and any hopes of them making Banjo 3, Conker 2, etc. are gone. Just be thankful, Donkey Kong Country found new life with Retro at least.

Last great game Rare ever developed... it's really amazing to think that back in the day the acquiring of Rare by Microsoft was one of the things that pushed me into buying a 360. Now, they have become irrelevant.

They will live on as the studio that brought some of the best 2nd party Nintendo games ever, and hopefully we won't remember them for their game output in Microsoft.

Why should this be a surprise? Rare hasn't made anything worthwhile in nearly a decade. They've been too busy making Kinect titles lately.

Nintendo was wise not to fight to keep them back in 2003. Yeah, Kameo was pretty decent (even though the latter third of the game felt extremely rushed), but Perfect Dark Zero? That was an excruciating disappointment.

Kameo was one of the games I bought along with the console on launch day. Great game.

Rare doesn't work on core games anymore. :p
