Kameo 2 not in development
Microsoft says it is not working on sequel or reboot to Rare's 2005 Xbox 360 launch title.

Kameo fans are out of luck. Microsoft Game Studios corporate vice president Phil Spencer confirmed this week that neither a sequel nor a reboot to the 2005 Xbox 360 launch title is currently in development.
"It's not something we are currently working on," Spencer told a fan on Twitter.
A sequel to Kameo: Elements of Power was reportedly killed off in 2009 as part of a restructuring process at Rare. Artwork for the game that appeared in 2011 suggested the sequel would take a more realistic art direction, though Microsoft has said nothing official about the project on record.
Despite being launched at a lower price point that other Xbox 360 games in 2005, Kameo: Elements of Power sold around 300,000 units in the United States, according to NPD data.
