Key World of Warcraft dev leaves to work at League of Legends studio
Greg Street AKA "Ghostcrawler" quits Blizzard to join Riot Games where he will work as lead game designer on an unannounced project.
After World of Warcraft lead systems designer Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street left Blizzard Entertainment late last year, it was widely wondered where one of the MMO's most influential and visible designers would land. Now we know: League of Legends developer Riot Games.

Street's LinkedIn profile page, corroborated by industry sources speaking with Massively, reveal that he now works at Riot Games as a lead game designer.
He has yet to confirm the news publicly, and offered a cryptic message on Twitter yesterday after the news started making the rounds.
"Thank you for all the recent tweets, but I think the appropriate thing for me to do is lie low for awhile. I won't vanish forever. Cheers," Street said. His current Twitter bio says he is working at "some place cool."
Blizzard Entertainment is headquartered in Irvine, California, while Riot Games' main office is in Santa Monica, which is just about an hour away.
Riot Games' only released project so far is League of Legends, the massively popular MOBA. It wouldn't be surprising to learn Street has joined the studio to work on a new game, though that remains to be seen.
