Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) today announced that it will host its second annual PlayStation E3 Kids Day party. The giant PlayStation spectacle will take place on Tuesday, May 11, from 4 - 8pm at the Sony Pictures Entertainment lot in Culver City, Calif., prior to the opening of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. In partnership with LA's BEST (Better Educated Students for Tomorrow), RADD Kids (Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drunk Driving) and Radio Disney, Sony will give hundreds of select kids a "sneak peek" at the newest PlayStation games being shown to the industry insiders at E3.

Special guest scheduled to attend the invite-only party include students and spokespeople from LA's BEST after-school enrichment program, celebrity spokespeople from RADD Kids, hundreds of fans who will win tickets through Radio Disney's call-in contests, celebrity PlayStation fans and, in some cases, their families.

"Our products are designed as family entertainment, so what better way to celebrate video-game entertainment than with a family party. We enjoy every opportunity we get to give back to the loyal PlayStation fans who have helped make us the leader in the video game industry," said Kaz Hirai, president and chief operating officer of SCEA.

The lucky guests of the event will enjoy an afternoon playing the hottest new games, checking out the 40-foot GameMobile touring attraction, participating in game competitions on a Jumbotron screen, meeting PlayStation characters, and enjoying a host of other exciting, kid-oriented activities.
