After losing Brokenshard to Copenhagen Wolves, the SK management wasted no time in finding the right player to fill the void. Long-time challenger scene member Mateusz 'Kikuz' Szkudlarek was just announced as the new SK Gaming Prime jungler. The Pole has amounted an impressive amount of experience and has been a part of famous line-ups such as Gamburg (with whom he finished runner-up at the 2011 World Cyber Games, falling short to Chicks Dig Elo), KMT, ROCCAT, mouz, Denial and most recently, Reason Gaming.
Team manager Joe 'InnerFlame' Elouassi had the following to say regarding the move:
With the recent move of Brokenshard to Copenhagen Wolves, I cannot tell you how happy I am that we have been able to get a replacement of Kikis' caliber. He played for a team of mine nearly 3 years ago and was thoroughly enjoyable to manage whilst performing at the same time. Back then he was playing top lane and I am even more impressed at his transition to jungle. I feel great things coming with Kikis and I cannot wait to see what's coming in the future.
The Pole himself also expressed his satisfaction in joining SK Gaming Prime and reuniting once more with manager Elouassi after three years:
After I left Reason Gaming, I was looking for a team that fits my playstyle. I had interest from other teams, but I felt this offer was the best for me. I really like how the team plays and after playing with the them, I feel we mesh together really well. I believe we are top contenders for not only the remainder of this Coke Zero Series split, but also playoffs too. The team has the same ambition and it will be good to experience this journey with my new "Family". I'd like to thank SK Gaming and the team for giving me this opportunity. I won't disappoint.
Mateusz will debut for SKP this Thursday, during the Coke League match against 4EVERZENZYG.
