Kirby dreams on Wii VC

arod112, I agree with you, the game was one of the ost fun mario games ever release. Remeber the part with tha wierd boss who was looking for mario behind the curtains, and you had to move outt of the way if you didnt want a boss battle? Some good suff there.

Looks like Nintendo is helping us to deal with the usual slowdown in retail releases during the summer. The last few weeks have seen some great VC releases, and this week is the first time I can honestly say all 3 are worth the $. Devil's Crush is one Ive been waiting for for awhile...it far outpaces it's predecessor Alien Crush! Keep it up Nintendo! Youre making me more and more happy I chose to fight for my Wii instead of copping-out & getting an X360 like so many other were doing back in January. (Not that the 360 isnt a good system, but given the choice I prefer my Wii!)

For MacBookers out there, or most computers with bluetooth I would assume, there's a great little program that lets you use your Wiimote as an imput device. Hmm, now what could you use that for... I wonder... You can also use the Classic Controller attachment and assign keys on the keyboard to each button... This would be of course, for legitimate, home-made games. Not licensed by anyone. 'Cause, ya know, that'd be illegal if they were. Heh. Anyways, its called DarwiinRemote. Google it, quite fun stuff.

Shining Force! Awesome! I actually already have that one on GBA...But that means that Shinning Force II will be not only be coming out...maybe even soon! I didn't wanted to buy an old Genesis again just to play ToeJam, Gunstar and ShiningII. Crazy good, plus that Pinball game everyone was raving about to see release is finally here too. Is the Kirby game really good?

Devil's Crush and Shining Force are truly righteous games that are must-buys for the price. As for Kirby's Dram Course, well, better to pay $8 than $80.

"I suppose Nintendo is saving the "heavy hitters" 'till the holidays for the VC..." They, along with the big 3rd party developers, are saving alot of their best for when Wii has more penetration. Why drop a heavy hitter now, when this time next year there will be 3x as many homes with Wii (or more).

I had Dream Course for the SNES (still have it, actually) and I loved it. It was just like the classic Kirby games... except in golf form. O.o

It's a good week for VC. Love the kirby game. It's just the same as for SNES but the game that I have and still am waiting for is the greatest Mario game ever(Super Mario RPG) and I know a lot of you agree with me.

This is a much better week than usual for the VC. Devil's Crush is really pretty sweet, but you have to like pinball video games. I have Alien Crush on the TG-16 and it's a lot of fun. I still prefer Pinbot on the NES, but I may just have to download DC on the VC. Shining Force sounds great, but I just do not remember if it's already on a compilation disc somewhere. I need maximum bang for my buck. $8 is not worth it for one game if I can play it elsewhere with 14 other Genesis games for $20. However, if Shing Force is rare and cannot be found elsewhere for less, $8 is just fine.

Shining Force I hear is a good series, and Kirby's Dream Course is my favorite spin-off. Nice week with last week

OMG! Shining Force!!! No i'm not copying sacatash... it's seriously my reaction. :) SF is such a great RPG. I wish the new Shining games were like that... not some stupid action-RPG crap. Halo05: Sega Smash Pack Vol. 1 (Dreamcast) wants a word with you. :P

Halo05, do you know how many Genesis games on the VC are also on Sega Genesis Collection? I doubt you have anything to worry about.

I'm terrified that the inclusion of Shining Force on the VC will mean that it'll never appear on a disc-based Sega compilation.

Subtitle says Kirby's Dream Course is an NES title, while it should say SNES. Anyways...

Floppy Drive I agree. I loved Kirby SuperStar to death when I was younger. It was one of the only games I played. Nintendo really really needs to release it on teh Virtual Console.

good now all sega has to do is release 2 and 3 (with prts 1,2 and 3) and sega has redeemed them selves

Kirby's Dream course is cool and all, but I think the fans really want Kirby Super Star right now.

Pass. No biggie though, whenever I get around to playing Wii again, I still have to finish Twilight Princess and DKC2. If the system could just overshadow the 360 for only a second I could probably get going on some of that.

Not a bad week, better than I expected but nothing here that floats my boat. After Paper Mario, it will be a long time before the next great title is released.

Who cares about the other games, Shining Force is the only one worth mentioning and should have stolen the headline.

roryk666, I believe there was a statistic recently about how there have been 5 million Virtual Console downloads so far. Thus, if my math is right, a minimum of $25 million has been made by Nintendo since the service's inception.

The strange thing is, Shining Force is the only game I was complaining about not being on the VC yet! :lol: Kirby's Dream Course is also a classic, I'm extremely glad Nintendo recognized its greatness and put it on the VC. :D
