Kojima Productions has so far only produced one game, the postal-apocalyptic adventure Death Stranding. First released on PS4 in 2019 and eventually making its way to PC in July this year, Kojima Productions officially announced in October that its next project is in development.
In typical Kojima fashion, details on this project are being kept tightly under wraps. There's no mention if it will be connected to Death Stranding, but Kojima Productions did recently start recruiting for game programming, sound design, art, game design, production, projection management, writing, and localization roles in its Tokyo studio. The game developer also hinted last year that horror games were back on his mind.
There's no shortage of incredibly wild rumours as to what the project could be either, with some fans hoping that Kojima will announce that the canceled Silent Hills project has been resurrected. Wednesday;s announcements may be smaller, such as shedding light on the future of Death Stranding now that the PlayStation 5 has launched.
