Last Chance to Get These Free Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games

A new set of free games will come online tomorrow.

Today, November 15, is the last day that Xbox Live Gold members can download free copies of The Walking Dead: Season One and Dirt 3 for Xbox One and Xbox 360, respectively.

The games are free as part of Microsoft's Games With Gold promotion. Use the links below to start your downloads right now from the Xbox Games Store website.

The Walking Dead: Season One (normally $25)
Dirt 3 (normally $25)

Starting tomorrow, November 16, Knight Squad will be free on Xbox One, while Xbox 360 owners will be able to pick up a copy of Dungeon Siege III for nothing. Note that November 2015 marks the first month where the Xbox 360 Games With Gold titles are playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility.

All future Xbox 360 games in the Games With Gold program will also be backwards-compatible. Microsoft has not yet announced December 2015's lineup of Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games With Gold offers.

Dungeon Seige 3 is an exceptional multi-player couch game, or like we played it, two tvs, two consoles, two copies of the game.

@rzaartz: I have both the PS4 and the Xbox one, I will say as much as I like my PS4 controller, I like the built in thumb grips on the Xbox One controller. I have bought some aftermarket grips for the PS4 controller but I didn't care for how they felt.

Loving Xbox One's backwards compatibility with the free Games with Gold. Hoping they will give Halo Wars away free at some point. I miss that game since selling my Xbox 360!

@hotwog21: The X360 games are yours forever...after the download you can play them with a silver (basic) account and completely offline.

The X1 GwG games work like PS+counterparts

You have acces to them as long as your Gold membership is active.
Unless something changed i was not aware of.

Just downloaded free Dungeon Siege III for my XB1.

I have a 60gb 360 that's full so I just purchased the free game there then downloaded it on my Xbone that has a 4TB external hd.

@TruthSerum808: I've got a 120GB HD for my 360(if I remember correctly). It's beyond full with DLC's and games and such so I'm just going to delete all my BC games from my 360 and let them stay on the One. Might as well free up some space for Red Dead Redemption I guess lol

@immortality20: Pneuma (which happens to be the dumbest game I've ever played) is free all month. I think Walking Dead is/was free starting mid October. Knight Squad is free starting tomorrow until December 15th. Kind of weird how they're doing it now.

I got a response from Codemasters and there is no chance that Dirt 3 will be updated coz of the missing VIPpass. I deleted it already...thats a scam

@sladakrobot: VIP access (multiplayer) was added to offer a couple of days later after it was initially released. Check the store for it as it should now be free, at least through the evening.

@7tizz: Here is the content of the codemasters reply:

"Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning DiRT 3.
I'm afraid that the VIP pass is not included in the Game with Gold version.
The only way to obtain the VIP pack is via purchase on the Xbox Live marketplace I'm afraid.
