Last Chance To Grab March's Free PS Plus Games For PS4

They'll be free to download for just a few more days.

PlayStation Plus slimmed down in March, as PS3 and Vita games are no longer being offered as free monthly games for PS Plus members. That leaves just two PlayStation 4 games as the PS Plus freebies each month, but in March, they're rather big ones: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness. They're also both enhanced for PlayStation Pro, if you happen to own the higher-end system. As we head into April, it's your last chance to pick up both of these fantastic games for free--they're available to download until April 2 at 8 AM PST / 11 AM EST.

At that time, they'll be replaced by April's two free PS Plus games, which were recently announced: science-fiction RPG The Surge and open-world survival sim Conan Exiles.

Now Playing: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered And The Witness - PS Plus March Free Games

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is the 2016 revamp of the 2007 classic. Modern Warfare remains one of the most critically acclaimed shooters of all time, and helped establish the Call of Duty series as a titanic franchise for Activision. Modern Warfare Remastered was originally included with 2016's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, before being sold separately. We've heard word that the company will return to the series with this year's installment.

The Witness is the follow-up to Braid from creator Jonathan Blow. It's also from 2016, offering a series of interconnected puzzles that impact the world. "The Witness molds its world, puzzles, and themes into such a layered, cohesive whole that, if we look hard enough, we'll keep finding new ways to perceive it," said critic Mike Mahardy in GameSpot's review.

Man reading these comments glad I mainly game on PC. The witness ( 3 years old) was literally 4 euros like in 10 steam sales. Glad we have Steam and many other digital stores. They provide dirt cheap games.

@nsa_protocol44: It has been on sale everywhere, not just steam, like every other game that goes on sale on steam.

@Arkhalipso: Of course it has but not as low as 4 Euros. It's a known fact that PC has the cheap games.

I have a PS4 pro and believe me when I say console games are very pricey. That's why everyone in this comment section is happy for The witness, a game we pc folk got years ago even for free through promotions let alone that it has been dirt cheap throughout the years.

the point here is that PC gamers are kinda spoiled because we have huge backlogs ( i own 1500 games on steam) And are not so fast impressed with games like the Witness, as the guys in this comment section are LOL. This backlog of 1500 great games on Steam I could have never built on consoles. I own only 60 games on PS4 LOL.

@nsa_protocol44: They're only pricey if you buy them at launch. I bought AC Odyssey just a few weeks after launch at half price and many other games have the same price drops after just 2 or 3 months.

But man, to complain about overpriced games, and then tell everyone about having 1500 games that you've payed for but will probably never even play. You must be falling for every crap, buying up anything that's on sale, huh? Better to enjoy collecting games than playing a decent one seems to be your motto.

@nsa_protocol44: I love how PC elitists are so proud of their backlogs. I know because I fell into that trap of buying up everything I thought looked good on Steam sales. Then it dawned on me, I'll never have time to play all these.

1500 games?!?! Let's do the math: Assuming each game gives you 20 hours of playtime (we know some can give hundreds more). Now let's assume you can play 2 hours a day during the week and 6 hours on Saturday and 6 on Sunday. You have 26.22 years worth of gaming in your log. You'll only get through that if you never buy another game for 26 years (which we know won't happen).

You may have got some great deals on games, but I guarantee you will ultimately throw plenty of money away on games you bought on impulse.

@93ChevyNut: The math is kinda flawed. There are a lot of games that only give like 5 to 8 hours of gameplay. The game you mention 20 hours or more is RPG's. And to be specific I game 4 to 5 hours a day. So let's do the math again.

I have 1500 games I play 5 hours a day and the median of a game in my backlog is 10 hours. That is 15.000 hours for 1500 games. A leap year has 8784 hours. so I must play for 2 years continuously to finish my backlog.

The feel and kick that you get from owning and thinking that you must finish all the games are like a drug to me. So i love the thought that I must finish my backlog. And I will someday LOL.

@nsa_protocol44: If you knew how to do the math you'd realize that you're probably always being a lot more new games than you could ever finish. You're just a shopaholic, enjoying spending money on games that are on sale more than playing them. But as long as you're unaware of how gullible you are and how you're throwing your money away for no reason, enjoy. Companies love guys like you.

@nsa_protocol44: Why don't you sit down for a second and chill and think about why you've been spending thousands of dollars on these games over the years, when you're clearly never going to play them? Even at $5 each that would be $7500 that you just pissed away over the years, for no reason other than the satisfaction of building a huge collection.

Have you ever thought about what a gmae library like Steam really is? All those games you've been hoarding are all available on there at any time. So if you wanted to play any of those games you've been collecting you could buy them for a few bucks right now and play them. But you don't. Instead you probably spent more money than those games are worth now, on games that you'll never even play.

Don't be a moron. Use your brain for once. Or give your money away for a better cause and feel good about the collection of games that Steam offers you, available at all times, without you having to spend money on all of those games before the point you actually wanna play them.

@Atzenkiller: Okay I have replayed very friendly and jokingly towards you, but reading your latest comment you really are stupid. First of all, I got most of those games cheap so WHAT THE FFUCK don't you understand about that? Second, I have already finished 500 of these 1500 games that I own over 13 years. Third, some games get removed from steam due to licensing. I have 50 games that aren't anymore on Steam and I am glad that I bought them when they were available. So don't go talking bullshit, like you are my nanny or what. I can spend on what I want. Glad you are not on steam, else you would get a heart attack of the huge backlog the players own there. So once again don't talk bullshit. I don't have time for your useless comments on where to spend my money or what to do with it. Sheesh, some people have nothing better to do.

@nsa_protocol44: Sounds like you've got some momma issues. Did your mom always tell you not to waste your money on useless crap, or why did someone pointing out how you waste money on games you never play upset you so much? So I guess you've only thrown away money for 1000 games that you'll never play. That of course is a big difference.

You're probably a grown man, even if you act like a kid. Do what you think is right. But if you get so upset about this then you're very aware of how you're just pissing away money for no reason. But I'm not your mom, so do whatever the **** you want. But if you enjoy burning money, then at least be proud of it, instead of whining like a little bitch just cause someone called you out on it.

@Atzenkiller: Hahahhaha really? Called me out on what?? Spending money on games that are on my wishlist and that I DEFINITELY will play, now or later. And wtf, thrown away money at 1000 games?? LOL, waw your stupidity amazes me. I am going like a rocket through those games, I am worrying that I have nothing to play about 6 years from now. SO AGAIN don't go assuming things Bruh not cool. Nothing is wasted if its an investment KNOW that. And no I have no momma issues, I am not a poor console peasant who only can buy 5 games a year and a the end of the year has no games to play. This whole comment section reflects precisely THAT. HAHAHA happy with the Witness, for real? I feel bad for console players :(

PS: Off those 1500 games, 600 I got trough cheap bundles (humble bundle etc) and free promotions (Yeah perks of being a PC gamer). See? After all, I didn't spend that much money, I am saying this for like 10 times but your clueless ass doesn't grasp that. Did you ever ask your self why Steam users have such a huge backlog of 5000 games?? Yeah, you didn't, else you would have known why. Again, clueless. This debate is over.

I'm so happy about the Witness...I've been wondering forever why it never goes on sale. Just saved me $40, as I've been really close to pulling the trigger.
