Last Day To Claim January's Free PS Plus Games On PS4

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Goat Simulator will soon be replaced by February's freebies.

With major game releases slowing down after the holidays, now's a good time to catch up on games you might have missed out on. In January 2020, PlayStation Plus subscribers can catch up on one of the most celebrated PlayStation series, as well as a wacky, physics-based adventure game. Both games are available through February 3, and we already know the trio of PS Plus games that will take their place on February 4.

Right now, PS Plus users can claim Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Goat Simulator. This effectively gets you four games, as The Nathan Drake Collection is a remastered compilation of the first three games in the series: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (although only the single-player components are included in all three). Both of the PS Plus titles are free until February 3, and you'll have access to both of them for as long as you're subscribed to PlayStation Plus.

Now Playing: Free PS4 PlayStation Plus Games For January 2020 Revealed

GameSpot's Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection review scored the game an 8/10, thanks in part to its more stable frame rate and the "masterful pacing of Uncharted 2 and 3."

"Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was a fine game in 2007, but its wrinkles are deeper now, its age more apparent," critic Mike Mahardy wrote. "With Uncharted 2 and 3, though, Naughty Dog transcended Drake's own small beginnings. The Nathan Drake Collection is a firsthand account of Naughty Dog's growth as a storyteller, and this collection is the best way to relive that history, and witness its transformation up close."

Goat Simulator, on the other hand, is a hilarious romp through multiple open worlds that each offer ample opportunity for goat shenanigans. There's no denying it's a weird game, but if you're the kind of person who likes to mess around, inadvertently cause explosions, and stick your goat tongue to things to see what happens, then Goat Simulator is absolutely worth trying.

Not sure the games in the Uncharted collection really count as "remasters", they're just higher-res versions of the originals, otherwise unaltered. Started playing Drake's Fortune again and though it looks sharp, the 2007 graphics are definitely showing their age

fucking false advertising january 6 supposedly when we get these half ass good games is monday not tuesday the uncharted whole thing will be kinda cool just to see the updates or upgrades but the butt goat simulator come on playstation out of all the games u wanna put that shit well i have some ideas how about dying light god of war mad max resident evil days gone

Goat simulator, huh?

Well, I guess it’s time to see what all the fuss is about. Still, I have no idea what to expect. Maybe that’s a good thing, lol.

As for the Uncharted collection, if any don’t already own it (or the original 3 games.) than they are in for one heck of a treat. A collection of one of the finest franchises of the last decade. Great way to start off the year.

Muuuhahahaha, have not played Uncharted since PS3, I guess now I can undust my PS4 over my XB1x for some Nathan Drake. I get bored fast playing single player games & then back to my XB1x for multies I go. Damn you MS, cuz now it's Predator too!!!

@judge99: Hrm... Maybe "the most CINEMATIC game franchise ever."

They're good, but still basically just a slight degree of player agency wider than a long sequence of QTE events.

Same goes for the newer TR series... I'm glad I played them, but I can't imagine playing any of these again.
