Last-Gen Delay for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

Last-generation versions of upcoming Lord of the Rings game pushed back to November 18, while Xbox One, PS4, and PC versions still on for September 30.

The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of upcoming Lord of the Rings game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor have been delayed.

Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today that these versions "will take more time in development," and will now be released on November 18 in North America and November 21 in Europe.

The release date for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions are unchanged; they will launch on September 30 in North America and October 3 in Europe.

Shadow of Mordor is set in Mordor after the events of The Hobbit and before The Lord of the Rings. You play as Talion, a ranger of Gondor with Wraith-like abilities that allow him to look into his enemy's minds and dominate them completely.
