Latest Westworld Video Reveals the Secrets of Star Wars Producer's New TV Show
Welcome to Westworld...
With Game of Thrones finishing after two more short seasons, there is much anticipation for HBO's next high-profile fantasy show. Westworld is a reimagining of the classic '70s sci-fi movie about a theme park populated by androids. It premieres next week, and a new behind-the-scenes featurette has been released. Watch it below:
Westworld is produced by Star Wars: The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams and Jonathan Nolan, who co-wrote several of brother Christopher's movies, including The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar. The high-profile cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, James Marsden, and Jeffrey Wright.
It was recently reported that the reason filming on the show was halted earlier this year was so the writers could plan several seasons ahead.
"It wasn't about getting the first 10 [episodes] done, it was about mapping out what the next five or six years are going to be," Marsden told Entertainment Weekly. "We wanted everything in line so that when the very last episode airs and we have our show finale, five or seven years down the line, we knew how it was going to end the first season."
Westworld premieres on October 2, 2016.
