League of Legends Oceanic Region to Be Represented by Australian Team Chiefs
Chiefs defeat Legacy in a close 3-2 series of games.
The League of Legends Oceanic Pro League concluded last week to see Australian professional gaming team Chiefs take first place. The team will go on to represent the Oceanic region in the International Wild Card Invitational in Mexico City, which will run from April 17-24.
The IWCI will see teams from Turkey, CIS, Japan, South East Asia, Brazil, and Latin America compete for a place in the Mid-Season Invitational, which in turn features the best League of Legends teams from North America, Europe, China, Korea, and Taiwan.
The Oceanic Pro League final was played to a final deciding fifth match, with Chiefs emerging victorious over Legacy 3-2. A total of eight teams competed in the Oceanic Pro League, vying for a spot in the IWCI. You can watch the full replay on Twitch.
