Leaked Gold Mario Amiibo Appears to Be Walmart-Exclusive
"Make this Easter golden!" reads a line from a leaked promotional poster.
Nintendo will release a gold Mario Amiibo later this year alongside Wii U party game Mario Party 10, according to a leaked posted from retailer Walmart that appeared on Reddit.
"Make this Easter golden!" reads a line from the poster, which specifically mentions that the gold Mario Amiibo will be sold "only at Walmart."
Mario Party 10 launches March 20, while Easter this year is Sunday, April 5.
This isn't the first time we've heard about a special-edition Mario Amiibo variant. In fact, gold and silver Mario Amiibo were spotted on Nintendo's own website earlier this month.
It's not uncommon for retailers to snag exclusives for Amiibo toys. After all, Shulk is exclusive to GameStop, Meta Knight can only be purchased at Best Buy, and Lucario is only available at Toys 'R Us.
Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed the worldwide best-selling Amiibo toys and more.
