Legends Of The Hidden Temple Reboot Has Open Casting Call

If you always wanted to be on Legends of the Hidden Temple, you can join the reboot on the Quibi streaming service.

During the mid-90s, Nickelodeon hosted a kids game show which forever changed how we look at shrines made of silver monkeys. The show was called Legends of the Hidden Temple, and it put children through both mental and physical challenges--while scaring them with Temple Guards--in order to take home the grand prize. To the best of my memory, this was usually a trip to Space Camp and a pair of British Knights sneakers. If you're sad you never got to be a contestant on this show, you're in luck. The streaming service Quibi is rebooting it for adults, and you can be on the show.

Quibi is promising a "supersized" and "reimagined" version of the show. It will be geared more towards adult audiences who grew up with the original. The upcoming streaming service made a big announcement for the new series in a tweet.

In order to get on the show, Quibi released information for how to sign up.

  • Step 1: Get your knee and elbow pads ready
  • Step 2: Identify your teammate - you're in this together
  • Step 3: Head to Quibi.com and enter your email address to get the latest news from Quibi
  • Step 4: Keep an eye on your email for special casting details

Quibi doesn't launch until April 6; however, the service has made some big announcements about upcoming original programming. It will launch with 50 original shows, including reboots of MTV's Singled Out and Punk'd.

While the service focuses on short-form storytelling with videos running around 10 minutes, there will also be movies broken up into chapters as well. When Quibi launches, it will be available for $5 with ads and $8 without ads, and there will be a 90-day free trial if you pre-order on the Quibi site before April 6.
