Developer Media Molecule will be hosting a live stream on its Twitch channel featuring its upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, Dreams. Dreams was first announced at Sony's press conference during E3 this year. Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida described the game to GameSpot earlier this year as "a next-gen creation platform" that has "much more" flexibility than LittleBigPlanet.

"In LittleBigPlanet you pretty much made new levels of an action game," he explained at the time. "With Dreams, you don't have to make a game. You can make a game, but if you're a painter, you can just create beautiful, painterly looking drawings. Or you can just animate the character. Or you can [remix] other people's creations."

Dreams is currently scheduled for release in 2016 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

I enjoyed LBP's creativeness and what I could make with its tools. Dreams looks to be more advanced with that and coming from MM, could be quite promising.

I remember the demo for this and it simultaneously blew my mind and made me wish I were an artist. And patient.

I like where this is going. LBP was definitely fun, but fairly narrow. Project Spark opened that up much wider, but the inability to free-form design objects was too limiting. Hopefully Dreams will be flexible on all fronts.

It would be cool if you could invade other peoples Dreams. Like MGV and Bloodborne. And turn them into Nightmares. And take a axe and a chainsaw to them.

@mjc0961: Care to elaborate, technically? Twitch is pretty much just streamimg w/an embedded chat channel. Youtube is pretty much a giant ad-insertion platform now.

@Tiwill44: i guess that would make mario maker another non-video game by your logic? the public doesn't even know what dreams is yet and how much "gameplay" it will consist of. you sure as hell don't.

@Tiwill44: that says nothing. if there is a mode purely for videos, that sounds very cool to me. that isn't to say there will be no gameplay to speak of. wait and see before forming your opinions about a game. it is not as if you have interest in any ps4 game anyways so you are just here to bash on sony as usual.

@Tiwill44: Not really computer games are all about creativity normal games would allow you to play somebody else's vision here you can play your own. Its still relevant just an alternative way of playing and looking at it.

@7tizz: And releasing sequels during the holidays for already established fan bases. Microsoft really give non fans of those games a lot to choose from for the holiday. Where are the new franchises for my XBox One that I'm interested in ?. Oh yeah!, way in 2016 Microsoft are only catering to Gears, Halo, Forza and Tomb fans with their holiday line up. I had my system for over a year and a half.

Microsoft have failed me so far as an individual gamer. Dead Rising 3 and Ori were the only 2 games I found interesting. SOD, TF, Ryse, Forza, Gears, Halo and KI aren't my thing. Unlike my PS4 my XBox One have no exclusives I prefer at the moment. I have been waiting too damn long for games like Quantum, Scale, Crack and Recore to come along. Purchased my Xbox One in 2014 and I have to wait until 2016 to get the games I prefer, Lol.

So being a gamer and owning both systems, I can make fair assessment of them from my experience owning both. I can even go on to say what's good about XBox One exactly good ?. Speaking for myself of course, do you know Microsoft only pumped out a measly 27 to 30 games for 2015 vs Sony's 100+.

On top of that and a 9month exclusive drought and sequels to old franchises I don't like, had me on the verge of selling my XBox One. But then MS show games like Quantum Break Scalebound, Crackdown 3 and Recore. I seen a little hope and decided to keep it, even so I have a long wait for those games and when they are released in 2016 they will be months apart from each other.

My post was long because I'm giving you my point of view as a disappointed Xbox OneOne owner. Do I like all Sony Exclusives, no I don't but at least they had a vareity of games to choose from this yr. Now if you aren't a Halo, Gears, Forza or Tomb fan, you are most definitely left on the outside looking in until 2016, smh.

@iambattlecry: nice response.

I only own a ps4 due to limited time/prioritys. I'm pretty secure and happy with my gaming platform of choice. Im sure there are plenty of Xbox owners who are content with their choice also.

Im watching the game with keen interest and banking on it manifesting in PSVR. I'm sure I saw MM demoing a game with Ps move dome years ago.

@7tizz: Ummm, I will be playing all the 3rd party releases that are better than any of the exclusives being released this holiday anyway.
