Lords Of The Fallen Release Date Revealed, Along With New Gameplay Trailer
The footage features music from Iron Maiden and showcases all sorts of gnarly foes.
Developer Hexworks has announced that Lords of the Fallen, a reboot of the same-named game from 2014, will launch October 13. The action-RPG is also referred to as a spiritual successor, as well, with preorders available now.
In addition to the release date, Hexworks also revealed the first gameplay footage for Lords of the Fallen with an almost four-minute trailer. The video features Iron Maiden's "Fear of the Dark" and shows off combat against foes big and small. Like the first game, this action-RPG draws inspiration from the Dark Souls franchise.
There are three different editions to preorder for Lords of the Fallen. The standard edition offers the game; the deluxe edition (physical and digital) has the Dark Crusader starting class, digital soundtrack and more; and finally the collector's edition (physical only) boasts all of the above plus a 10-inch Dark Crusader figurine, steelbook, and more.
Lords of the Fallen was originally announced as a sequel back in 2014--over eight years ago. In 2020, CI Games decided to have Hexworks finish development of Lords of the Fallen, after Defiant Games took a crack at it from 2018-19.
