Lost and Damned censors GTAIV in EU, un-censors in Oz

Now, that is really stupid... a bug that censord the uncensored and uncensores the censored?. Now i can say I saw everything.

About time australia got something their way, instead of having to do alterations and such. But seriously people shouldnt be told what they can play and what they cant. If its a matter of kids playing the game aswell well then i guess its the parents fault but dont make everyone else suffer along. This is a free country!

silentsniper359, true true but we all know that wont happen because microsoft is the economically superior company. im just getting fed up with ps3 owners (fanboys) complaining that they have no dlc for gta, fo3, tr etc when they have games like mgs4, killzone, resistance and about 67 other ps3 exclusives. if they dont like it, its not to late to change console.

I guess that when the miniority of idiots out there who try to reinact what they seein videogames stop and when some of the so called "Adults" start acting like "Adults" then maybe censorship will be dropped. Fact is, especially with GTA, the core audience is hardly Adult anyway. So it will be more censored than a "hardcore gamers" game such as fallout 3 which is less mainstream

censorship sucks no one should tell an adult what they can and can't see.

haha fallout 3 now thats a game that was allow relise for some reason cos looking at it now you can kill some ones normally like you do in other game then you take a knife out and cut body parts of pile them up and in gore bags fire body bits from rock-it-lancher

@ ukogmickey microsoft bought the dlc rights to the games fallout 3,tomb raider underworld and gta4 so unless sony forks out some cash the dlc will stay exclusively for the 360

Expansions and DLC for GTA4 is only exclusive for 3 month ! I heard that when GTA4 was released. Its obvios theyl release it for other formats !

Finished GTAIV story last night; was fun but shame I don't get the Lost and Damned.

dont forget microsoft paied rockstar $50million for two exclusive dlc its still possible for ps3 to get some, if rockstar wants to make money

Why would they banned GTA? For once in peoples life their going to see "sexual" parts. It isn't rockstars fault that they have to be forced to cut some stuff out of the game. It is the parents fault for sheltering their children. But, they still let them play those rated M games that come out in the stores. So stop and think, was it really rockstars fault?

I really should play GTA4, bought it at midnight on launch day, played it for an hour and it's been on my shelf ever since, was so involved with playing COD4 online I didn't get a chance to play it.

BTW, having played through GTA IV on both PS3 and X360 NOW, the EU version sounds pretty much like the PS3 version. Very little blood at all, whereas the X360 version, there is always blood pools, splatters, snears, and trails happening all around you. If you like that stuff, the X360 version is a lot better.

If they take Mr. Dangle out, you guys won't be missing much.

Actually, Rockstar implemented censorship in the original to avoid any possible delays. The OFLC never asked for it. When they made the PC version, they sent the uncensored version through and it got the same rating, so this was probably meant to lift the censorship on PAL AU version (as it's no longer required) but ended up having the reverse effect on PAL EU versions.

The system is corrupt. This game should not be allowed. It has an effect on those playing. It should be banned from this country!

I love Australia's tough animal abuse laws, but damn... the censorship is a little overzealous.

So what about the game freezing issues? I just talked to some of my friends on LIVE. It works for him, but HIS friend's copy doesn't. Same as mine.

killer 73, australias doesnt have an 18 cert. for games, they have to be suitable for 15 year olds, films on the other hand do have adult ratings. I`m looking forward to get this episode, people tell me its good.

censorship is not for protection but to hide violence so that a murderous boy will kill when he is an adult so he can be tried as an adult and receive maximum sentence... well thats the onli reason why i would expect anyone to have a 15+ rating, sooner or later hes gonna see that pool of blood and violence somewhere along his life, might as well be real since censoring games dont do anything but aggravate people

why Australia make it for +18 why couldn't anyone play it freely

Ah, damn you censorship! Back in the days of Atari there was no censorship, if it was 18+ then the game was propper 18+ no messin around, now-a-days even 18+ games have been censored, things have never been the same since the 2600 was discounied on the 1st January 1992. Lol, mcjakeqcool.
