MAG expanding June 22

@takreem95 They fixed the shotgun in the patch they just had. It now has less range but now is very deadly up close at a meter anyone is dead (unless you miss). And guys no need to wait for the DLC to get the game; it's wonderful as is. I'd advise getting your bearings anyone before it comes out ;).

It's about time they came out with some more maps and such for MAG! I'll have to see about getting this when it comes out!

I hope they also introduce new weapons. Maybe they should bring 3-round burst ARs and non-bolt action and automatic shotguns. Plus, they should also increase the range of the shotgun a little bit. Sometimes when I fire it at less than a meter, it doesn't hits the other guy.

Ive been thinking about getting into this game for some time. Other games keep getting in the way. Still, I like what I am seeing here; that a lot of people really enjoy a thinking man's shooter, and are still playing the hell outta it. This expansion might finally push me over the edge. Hope it does.

might have to put down bfbc2 to go and buy this. did not really enjoy the beta, but i always willing to give it another go if the community is still pumping. plus they realeasing dlc so that means people are still enjoying it. look out 4 me!

Maybe I'll finally give MAG a shot after all. Love the concept, just haven't had time to check it out.

I played the beta and I was kinda dissapointed. I mean it's a great game but I'm way too used to Modern Warfare! I wish I could give it a second try.

@Rikufan I hate to compare this to mw2, but mw2's first map pack came out in about the same time.

Goddamn time they brought some novelty into the game. I was waiting for this to sharpen my skills and play with my mates.

@ the_wolf_7 what i believe mag has done to fps is introduced the ablity to go over the 64 max player limit on most games...one games that use military tactics like BF2 or the arma II etc incorporte this 250 players that Mag brags WOW!!

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of this game anymore. I played it for a while after launch, but I kinda got bored with it. I wish I hadn't, I just did. :\

I agree Venge. MAG has changed FPS shooters in a small as well as a big way. It takes strategy as he said. Simply running out into the field and shooting isnt enough now. I for one, relish that such a new system has been incorporated. And will continue to support it by playing the game, and definitely by buying this add-on once its released.

It's simple; you either like the concept and the game or you don't. I can understand either way. Some people just don't like to get involved too much and just like to pull the trigger; and typically FPS games like MW2 can fulfill that. BC2 can fulfill that want with vehicles that feels like a battlefield. But some people (like me and many others); they want a complex battlefield where everyone has a role to play. I have many friends who are satisfied with that; and that's great! I'm great at shooters but they tire me out quickly unless they are heavy on strategy (maybe I grew up too much on Starcraft) which is why I tend to gravitate to games like SOCOM and now MAG where I can utilize out-thinking the enemy in conjunction with out-shooting him. While this game is Heavily reliant on others but to dumb it down and make it very accessible Would make it a generic FPS. The game gives you complex tools and roles and hopes people will use them as they're suppose to. Yes a lot of people don't; but as we've seen in games like SOCOM, Strategy vs. no strategy, in a game catered for strategy, strategy very easily trumps people who lone wolf.

For those who believe it's taken a long time to get the maps I disagree; it does take that long when the maps are that large. The play area of the current 128 mode is at least 4x (maybe more) as large as the typical map in a game like MW2. With 3 maps that's equivalent to approximately 12 maps (at a minimum) in another game. Of course we don't actually know if the map will be the same size than the ones we have no. Although if I had to guess I would think they would be much larger since this game mode seems to have a lot of vehicles. I believe it will be probably be the size of the 256 map which is about the size of 7+ of a typical DLC map (MW2; sorry it's just an example most can relate to). If you times that by 3 then that is a lot of work to put into three maps and for designing new game mode rather than just releasing new maps for a mode that exists. Also; it did not take that long to get the maps compared to other games. Four and a half months is pretty typical for brand new content. It seems like everyone finds a reason to criticize.

I love how many thumbs down I get lol. I was originally going to get this game but I was strongly lured away from it by reviews, word of mouth, and the beta.

For a new gametype and the corresponding maps, i guess $10 is just barely worth it. Hopefully this serves to refresh people's interest. It's biggest problems stem from the simple fact that not enough people play it, and I would really like to see it at it's full potential.

not a bad pack. 30 bucks for a new copy then 10 for this. might be worth rebuying mag again

This game was awesome when I was SVER and people actually knew what to do. Then, I vetted to Valor, and the game became no fun. Until they patch out the retarded AI (think about it before you flame), the game will suffer and remain out of my PS3.

Good news. $10 seems a little pricey though. Cheaper then MW2!

This game is ultimate win. 256=win. Command structure=win. You actually have health=WIN. This isn't a CoD clone=BEST PART EVER. I was in all the betas. An i am honestly surprised that it isn't free. I know this is actually pretty cool I've been waiting along time for DLC to come out. But the free stuff like the weapons and the new outfits really held me over... Thank you zipper you got shafted a little with this game but you have really set this FPS from all the other console games and for that we thank you!

I forgot all about this game.

I'm 6 cents off of paying for the taxes on a 9.99 download... What a shame.

Does it really take this long to add game modes? If they made these DLCs free I might consider buying them. But I don't want to pay more than what it initially cost me. Valve is one of the most successful companies out there because they care and give free support for games. 360 versions only have price because Microsoft makes them.

I hope they keep updating this game periodically so it can really shine above other similar games.

I can't wait :) This game just isn't for some people; it's more tactical than games like MW2 and BC2. If you don't have a head for strategy (or at least don't like to follow) then you may not like this game. Though some people do; especially a lot of SOCOM fans. If you've never liked FPS all that much; I've heard many say that MAG is one that they like. Most game reviews rate this game on it's quality as a First-Person Shooter; but it's so much more. I think 1UP got it right. The new patch today made this game feel polished and the DLC will definitely breathe new life into it. If you've been thinking of this game and you're worried it's too late, Don't! Everyone starts somewhere and we need players. Head over to forums.mag.com; it's full of people, like me, who would be more than glad to assist a new person. We had 64 clan members team up last weekend (wish we could have had more, but it's a start), what other console game lets you do this?

Finally, just in time for summer vacation. This gives me more reason to play more apart from playing 4 hours a day.

@ItsBriskBaby: I don't think they're uninformed, but rather 360 fanboys who try to rationalize their paying for online by saying that the PS3 online community is empty. I've seen that happen several times.

Uninformed people make me laugh, seriously! MAG is an awsome game and tons of people play the crap out of it at all times of the day. Rooms fill up very fast to the 256 mark, believe it.

@dylan417 I play this and so does ALOT of other people, don't listin to anyone who says there isn't alot of people playing the game because even at 3 in the morning it takes 2 min to fill up 256 players. When some people on gamespot lie and say 15 min. there is always a alot of people online at any time any day.

What 're some of you talking about people dont play the game no more..People still play the game.
