TOKYO--Banpresto and Korean game studio SoftMax have announced that they will codevelop Magna Carta 2 for the Microsoft Xbox 360. The game is slated for a worldwide release in 2007.

The original Magna Carta was released for the PC in 2002 and was later ported to the PlayStation 2 in 2004. The game has sold more than 200,000 units in Korea and Japan, and it will be released in the United States and Europe in the fourth quarter of 2005. Banpresto also recently announced its decision to port the game to the PSP.

Magna Carta 2 will be the second game Banpresto is developing for the Xbox 360. The company previously announced it is making a new Super Robot Wars game for the console.

@Sempai_san Well Namco Bandai made both Eternal Sonata and Tales of Vesperia for the PS3 and Xbox360 but who knows what will happen. @Kenji_Masamune You're pretty low. You actually hate a game system for entertaining the people who bought it? By the way, PC Gaming is currently and will always be behind console systems. Either way, you can't speak for every Xbox360 owner just because some of the most popular games are Halo and Call of Duty. Correct me if i'm wrong but, aren't games like that some of the most popular for the PC? Well then "Don't bring this game to the P(iece) of C(rap)", which has been trying to compete with actual game systems for the longest time.

Awesome news. I love RPGs, and the more they can bring to the 360 (and PS3 if so inclined), the better. I have both consoles so it isn't a big deal, but I am glad to see Microsoft getting the RPG love it missed the last gen.

Ah! No, not to the 360! That means that I will have to buy it just for that game alone!!!! ::sigh:: I wonder if it will also be made for the PS3, though I highly doubt it.
