Mario Kart 64 arrives on Euro VC
Nintendo's old-school racing game now available for European Wii owners to download.
Two more games are available to Wii owners in PAL territories--the first is the classic Mario Kart 64, which was originally released in Japan in 1996 and in the US and Europe in 1997. The sequel to Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo, it brought the game series to 3D. Mario Kart 64 costs 1,000 Wii points. Also released today in Europe is Soldier Blade from the TurboGrafx-16 system. Soldier Blade is a scrolling shooting game that was developed and published by Hudson Soft in 1992. Nintendo also released today the Wii News Channel in Europe and North America.
