Mario Kart World's Cow Can Eat Burgers And Steak
The cow can eat steak, which raises some questions.
One of the breakout stars from Mario Kart World is the cow, and now a critical piece of information has come to light about the creature. As it turns out, the cow can eat its own kind in the Switch 2 game--and it seems to enjoy this.
As the new Mario Kart World trailer showed us, Mario can chomp down on a giant three-decker burger to morph into a different version of himself. With the cow being a new racer for Mario Kart World, some wondered if the cow, too, could eat a burger. IGN confirmed that this is possible, but there are still plenty of unanswered questions.

For one, we don't know what the burger is made of. Though burgers are commonly made of beef, it's not the only possibility. A burger is just one of many items that players can obtain at Mario Kart World's Yoshi's diner locations. Some of the others are steak kebabs, pizza, and donuts.
Another oddity is that while we saw Mario eat the burger and transform, when the cow eats the burger, nothing seems to happen, except for the cow getting pretty excited about it. One then wonders if the cow likes the taste of beef. Or perhaps it was never a beef burger at all. Nintendo has not provided all the answers as of yet, so we can only wonder.

What we do know is that the cow is one of dozens of playable characters in Mario Kart World's roster--up to 24 players can take part in races in World, which is the most ever for the series. The game is a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2, debuting on June 5.
While preorders for the Switch 2 were originally set to go live on April 9, that's no longer the case in the US. Nintendo pulled preorders for the device, citing President Trump's tariffs, with some wondering if Nintendo is going to raise the $450 console's price in the US.
