Mario vs. Donkey Kong is a remake of the first entry in the series that originally released on Game Boy Advance. It brings new features such as cooperative play and reworked graphics. At the heart of the action is a mixture of platforming and puzzle-solving, making it more methodical than most side-scrolling Mario games. If you are a fan of the classic Donkey Kong arcade game or the Game Boy edition of Donkey Kong, there's a good chance you'll enjoy Mario vs. Donkey Kong.

The remake earned a 7/10 in our Mario vs. Donkey Kong review. "Mario vs. Donkey Kong feels very retro in certain respects," critic Steve Watts wrote. "It's designed to be played in short bursts, which can feel anachronistic on a modern handheld hybrid that's perfectly suited for long play sessions. But it's also a throwback in the best ways, recapturing the clever aha moments of puzzle-platforming that made its predecessors so memorable, all while packing distinct visual improvements and quality-of-life tweaks that bring out its charm like never before."

Several other 2024 Switch games are included in Woot's latest batch of gaming deals, including The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition.

I mean, with Nintendo, I'm not accustomed to paying so much money. I broke away from console gaming and hand helds a while ago. But got a switch lite because ""I just had to have Zelda and Metroid"" again.

This discount, again I mean stinks 100% considering Nintendo Marked up their prices and still charges $60 to $80 for their games if not more. And surprisingly a ton of those games are old. Let me not even get started on Super mario RPG. I played that 10 years ago and hated it. Now it's on switch for like $60.00 ? ? ? WOW !!!

Lastly, I discovered switch does not EVEN HAVE a game shark. So we cannot even use cheat codes to help us out. SO YES A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY FOR FOLKS LIKE ME, that get a copy of Metroid Dredd, and cannot even play it on the lowest setting because it's too HARD!

And lastly, handheld hardware modding to down load written cheat tables online, No! I can't do that. And they say the switch lite won't work with it anyway.

So it's sad when Nintendo makes games difficult and hard in the first place especially for older people that was their original cash cows to fill their fat pockets and make them what they are today, but then those of us are disappointed when we learn we there is nothing to be done about that.

As for the discounts. Big deal, $10 off a $50.00 game. I would have bought it right now had it been reduced to at least %50 off. But I will save my money because I'm assuming legacy of kain is going to be a $60.00 when Nintendo finally lets us pre order on switch.

I'd get it if it was marked down to $10. Donkey Kong 94 was a much better game, they should have remade that instead.
