Marvel 1943 Voice Actor Hints At Possible Release Date
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra might make it out the door in 2025.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra doesn't have an official release date or even window yet beyond "2025," but according to one of the game's voice actors, we could be playing it by the end of the year.
The game's Black Panther voice actor, Khary Payton, told The Direct, "We’re still working. We’re planning on 2025. We’re thinking like a Christmas situation. But I'm so excited." While the game seemingly already had a 2025 release window, Payton's comment at least narrows down a potential launch month.
While December might be an odd time to release a game, some big ones have released during that month. These include games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, The Callisto Protocol, Marvel's Midnight Suns, and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra follows Captain America and Black Panther has them take on the Axis powers of Nazi Germany. It'll feature an original World War II story set in Paris, France, as players control four heroes, the other two of whom are Howling Commandos member Gabriel Jones and Nanali, the leader of the Wakandan spy network.
There will also be other supporting characters, such as Howard Stark as well as a new original character named Julie, who is an ally to the French Resistance against Hydra and Nazis.
Marvel 1943 is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 over at developer Skydance New Media, with producers Amy Hennig and Julian Beak at the helm.
