Marvel's Iron Fist Begins Production, First Images Leaked From Set

With the second season of Daredevil now released and Luke Cage debuting in September, production has begun on Iron Fist, the latest collaboration between Netflix and Marvel. The first images from the New York set have been released, which reveal shoeless Game of Thrones star Finn Jones as the titular hero. Check them out via Tumblr user Delevingned:

Once Iron Fist has finishes shooting, all four of Netflix's Marvel heroes, which also includes Jessica Jones, will unite for The Defenders. Daredevil star Charlie Cox revealed earlier this moth that the superhero team-up will begin production later this year.

However, the star also told The Independent that he didn't know whether a third season of Daredevil would be made.

Iron Fist first appeared in 1974 in Marvel Premiere #15. The character is a martial arts master, which includes some supernatural elements to his fighting ability. He's also known for being a member of the team Heroes for Hire, with friend Luke Cage.

Too early to judge but based on Jessica Jones and Daredevil thus far I'm looking forward to this and Luke Cage...as well as The Defenders when that starts.....

Daredevil S1 was awesome, S2 was like OMFG and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle AKA Punisher was brilliant......

Jessica Jones was epic, David Tenant at the bad guy was brilliant casting......and I liked Luke Cage....

i do hope they keep on with Daredevil, it's an awesome show.....

@darthrevenx: Totally agree with David Tenant in the Marvel Universe. I'd put his performance up there with RDJ as irreplaceable. I hope they find a way to bring him back. Wouldn't it be cool if he made some type of slick appearance in Civil War where Jessica Jones just starts beating the shit out of Iron man out of no where and then they show the purple man watching in the background? LOVED the actor and the character.

@darthrevenx: I agree with you both seasons of daredevil were great, and Jon Bernthal was the best punisher that i have seen.

Jessica Jones was great too, altought i think they shouldn't have killed Tenant's Character, it would have been really good that he made another appearence in the show, maybe not has the main villain in season 2, but he could have been in one or two episodes like kingpin in Daredevil.

@habeasdata: I was glad they got rid of him. I like Tenant but another episode of "how are we going to deal with a guy who can talk his way out of prison" and his whinyness and I wouldve written the show off completely. the show was good in spite of that character (though obviously not in spite of Tenant who was the only saving grace for that character)

@darthrevenx: i dunno, I prefer those guys you love to hate. Like Ben on Lost, or Joffrey. Killgrave in this was more of a 'Tenant did what he could with the character, and he was marvelous, but GOD was he also annoying sometimes' type situation.
