New 3-D game upgrade should give those holiday releases a bit more zing.
Matrox Graphics today announced that the m3D, a new 3-D game upgrade, will be available this fall for a suggested retail price of US$115.
Based on the NEC PowerVR processor, the m3D game upgrade will accelerate 3-D games at resolutions up to 1024x768, with a full set of 3-D features such as bilinear and adaptive filtering, fogging, anti-aliased textures, and dithering from 24-bit color to 16-bit to maintain true color display.
It comes bundled with a full version of Ultim@te Race from Kalisto, two other 3-D titles to be announced, as well as over 15 demo versions of popular 3-D games including Tomb Raider, WipeOut XL, MotoRacer, GP, MDK and more.
