Matsushita GameCube-DVD hybrid gets a Japanese release date

Matsushita has announced that it will release Q, its DVD player that includes GameCube hardware, on December 14 in Japan. The unit will retail for around $328 and will be available in both retail stores and from Matsushita's official Web site. Matsushita hopes to produce 15,000 units of Q each month for a grand total of at least 100,000 by the conclusion of its first year of availability. Matsushita has yet to announce if Q will be released in North America.
