Max Payne 3 trailer surfaces?

when the game was launched????? i was dieing to play that

I am tired of this. Its been over five years since the last max payne. what the blank is going on with this crap. forest gump must be the programmer for this game because its taking too long

Ugh, not another middle eastern themed game. Specially not one with max payne =( Such good memories with the first two but I foresee this one being a run of the mill shooter and nothing more.

this game better be good. because its definitely not going to be the same now that remedy isnt making it. what happened to remedy?

I hope they keep the noir-esque feel of the first two. Those games were artistic masterpieces in my opinion, surreal and creepy story, and the gameplay was awesome. *crosses fingers*

I hope bullet wounds or bloodstains apear ont he bodies of the people you shoot. More games need that. I also hope it beats Max Payne 1. Remember GAMEPLAY FIRST!! GRAPHICS AND PRODUCTION 2nd. Game developers today forget that.

Here is some general info on what to expect in the gameplay. The healing system will involve Max's in-story addiction to painkillers. Max can wield two different guns, such as a revolver and an automatic. Max will only be able to have weapons in a realistic manner, i.e. he will only have one rifle or shotgun at a time and must drop a rifle to shoot in akimbo. Motion-comics will bridge the gap between the game's different acts, acting similarly to the graphic novels in the previous games. Max can now use human shields. Many objects in the game are destructible, such as crates The cover system will be introduced in it, though it won't be 'the focus of the game' Max will be able to perform life-saving kill shots should he be near death. If he manages to kill his killer before the screen goes black, he'll spring back to life thanks to an adrenaline boost

Max Payne has a certain look and feel; dark, rain-swept, norish. Payne is a Chandleresque tortured-soul, an existential antihero who seemed to have a shot at happiness with Mona in 'Fall,' all for it to come crashing down. That atmosphere is at the very heart of the series. I'm going to withhold judgment, but the screenshots don't FEEL like Max. Max Payne is a lot more than just bullet time.

The first Max Payne was amazing. The sequel was pretty good too. Really looking forward to seeing if they can turn out another great addition to the series.

I've been quite 'annoyed' with the concept of the new bald Max Payne But i guess Max Payne series has no where to go if it continued with the same detective searching for vengence. Sometimes a huge change which disappoints audiences at the beginning would lead to its success in the end. Cant wait for Max Payne 3 i would really be annoyed if it didnt live up to the standards of Max Payne 2 because it was one of the very best games in my huge game collection.

Max's taken a hell of an emotional beating the past two games...he deserves redemption. I hope the story-line incorporates that instead of taking him down to hell again...it's about time he emerges on top of things still INTACT. I think the setting of brazil and the presence of shanty towns offer a more cat and mouse type of gameplay...and we all know who the hunter is. Besides he's like a mercenary and they're usually BADASS!

the story should be good ...as the other 2 versions were hit bcz of their story & presentation.....let's see...

I really don't think the game's concept is a bad idea. Max being a recluse in Brazil seems believable, particularly when one takes into account all he lost in the previous games. Seems he let himself go.

It will be another 3rd person crap console game--don't even think about playing this on the PC as it would be just another pathetic port job.

I dunno. Rockstar Vancouver made Bully. I know they can make a great game. I just don't know why this is Max Payne 3. Good or not, ot doesn't seem like the right way to continue teh series. We'll see I guess.

"a bald, bulked-up Payne living in a Brazilian slum",.......isn't a bad idea when the last sequel was actually about his fall :THE FALL OF MAX PAYNE - By Remedy and Rockstar for the Xbox and Ps2 consoles. Niko Belick in Grand Theft Auto IV isn't sexy in anyway but he has a certain charm and character that makes me like him as much as i loved Leon S Kennedy in Resident Evil 4(who is actually SEXY) and Snake in especially Metal Gear Solid 4(remember that Snake Aged greatly in MGS4).Max doesn't have to be handsome or sexy for us to like him or be fond of him. If Dan Houser and his brother of the AAA Team responsible for Grand Theft Auto IV works on Max Payne 3, it will come out with great reviews when realeased to the fans.

Well, guess I'll have to wait a little more before I make up my mind about this game.. But I kind of agree that there is a little to much vin diesel in him..and judging by screenshots I think the game is to bright. Kind of takes away the dark cold atmosphere..

And I knew the minute that Remedy handed over the reins to another developer that this would become a joke...and now it's become a living reality. This is not Max Payne, this is a Vin Diesel clone. Did that idiot director responsible for that train wreck of a movie get a hold of the rights to Max Payne 3 or something? I loved the series, but I'll pass on this crap.

I think he looks a bit more like John McLane. I believe there is a good reason as to why they changed his look and I think it makes sense. Think about this, the games themselves are psychological thrillers just as much as they are action games. Observing the events of 1 & 2 you really have to consider how such morbid life events would impact a person psychologically. The closest people to him have died and those around him always suffer. I can't even imagine the compiled body count of MP1 & 2. Max has killed so many people that he has almost become numb to it. He lives a life that nightmares are made of. The inner monologues of MP1 &2 really display how he feels about his life at this point. Just pick any point in the game and you'll always come across some very intriguing but disturbing and yet empathetic moments of inner monologue. You really get a chance to see inside his head and I gotta say I really praise the games for having such vivid detail to a fictional character. I don't even want to start on all the Norse Mythology being referenced to drive the first game along. I think the events of MP1 & 2 are the epitome of destiny/fate. Max is one of the unfortunate people that fate dealt a bad hand to, and he struggles every day to deal with that. What I think would be cool is if in the 3rd game during his time in private security( that is his new job in Brazil) he stumbles across shipments of "V" (Valkyrie) or lack thereof. Something, anything that references events or his experiences of MP1 or 2. A story element like this would truly suggest that his name is perfectly suited for his life, Max Payne, and that he can never escape the life that unfolded for him after the events of MP1. Max's new look, I believe, physically represents all the adversity he has faced. every scar, every bruise carries a memory. Max Payne is one of my favorite video games of all time. An exceptionally written character and story. Kudos to the style of storytelling and game presentation all-around. I won't deny, just like many of you I have my skepticism but I look forward to the best because this game carries a lot of potential with it and has MP1 & 2 as a strong core for story development. I'm really eager to see how everything unfolds and if Max can ever claim redemption, to finally be at peace. It's been 7 years since MP2 & ladies and gentlemen he's finally back. My best wishes go out to this game. Take care everyone.

I would be the first to say that I'm one of the biggest Max Payne fans in the world. Max Payne 1 & 2 were both masterpieces in my books, not just in terms of gaming but also in terms of storytelling, atmosphere setting and general noir themes. But from I've seen of MP3... oh dear. Not only have they taken Max away from New York (in itself maybe forgiveable), but they've taken him to one of the sunniest places on Earth, removed the constant weather effect that symbolized the story and set it during the freaking day... it's not noir anymore, and for me, that's the biggest disappointment. It was nice whilst it lasted, Max... I'll speak at your funeral.

but who cares if it ain't or is... theres a 80% chance this games not gonna stand up to the previous ones... bu I have faith in them, and i'm pretty sure the won't let crap out of their door... this might be the starting of it though...

Teaser is right. There is no reason to get excited about this video. This could have been something from when they first started on the game, in 2004. Someone must have found it in a file buried in their computer or something.

From what I saw of this game in of the Game Informer magazines, it looks awesome! This one and Red Dead Redemption are on my must buy list. I do agree with ClownsAteMyBaby, as far as him looking like Sam Fisher, and I also agree with david_joseph93 about the bullet time gameplay. It has been done alot, but I think Max Payne originated it, but I won't swear on it.

macedonia_sucks I dont see any Noir story telling and style we dont want this to be another pointless 3rd person shooter GOW more to come ... You don't see the Noir storytelling and style because you haven't seen a trailer showing it nor read the Game Informer review mentioning that the game will retain the Noir.

I don´t think its a real trailer maded by rockstar. But its great to know that ppl still wants another Max Payne game.
