May 2020 PlayStation Plus: Last Chance For These 2 Free PS4 Games

PS Plus subscribers can get two great simulation games free on PS4, but for only one more day.

PlayStation Plus members still have time to snag May's round of free games on the PlayStation Store before June's lineup goes live tomorrow, June 2. As usual, May 2020's PS Plus lineup consists of two free PS4 games: Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19. You can also download one of June 2020's free games, Call of Duty: WWII, early.

Cities: Skylines is an acclaimed city-building sim in which you plan and develop a metropolis. The game offers a realistic take on the genre, giving you full control over zoning neighborhoods and letting you establish districts and policies.

cities skyline seem like sim city. Used to love those games. Will add to my download list. Yeah I played sim city a long time ago, i end up being an architect. (grant it isn't the same as city planning)

I'm loving Skylines ... But the game is hard as hell and I wish the PS4 UI were better ... Been watching some videos and the PC version plays a lot better ... Regardless, I've been playing it for so many hours by now ... Hopefully i will be passing the initial states since I always quite due to something going horribly wrong on my little towns 😅

Not sure what people are bitching about: Cities Skylines is an AMAZING game. The console port is solid, with excellent controller defaults.

Easy to start, and enough depth to drain an entire day before you even realize it.

@Pyrosa: The apocalypse has arrived if people aren't complaining about the monthly games.

To be fair though Skylines and Farm Simulator seem kind of similar, at least genre wise. Kind of odd to have both of these the same month. Something like Celeste or Towerfall might have been a better pick for one of the games.

@G-Corleone: Pyrosa is asking if people game on other devices as well as Playstation. People who also have a gaming PC are more likely to have Skylines, and maybe Farm sim too, as strategy gamers tend to be drawn to PC.

Those who game purely on Playstation may not usually try these sorts of games so maybe now is the time to try them out in case you end up liking them.

IQ comment may have been unnecessary though.

@nsignific: Maybe should be a wake up call to all the cry babies. We get entire Bioshock collection, entire Uncharted collection, SOTC, Uncharted 4, Journey ++ many more AAA games for free and people still bitch about bad offering or how they "aLreAdy hAve the gAME".

This month is complete garbage though. I was hoping for Dying Light 2 and Dark Souls remastered, I have yet to play them and Dark souls at least is a classic.

@Mozelleple112: PS+ is a subscription service that you pay for. Why do you say PS+ games are free? I know why: because you paid in advance! After that initial $60 sting, the next 11 months must have felt like you were getting free games. Believe me, they weren't free. Sony has made their billions from PS+ and PS Now ($3.2 billion to be exact).

I'm calling people crybabies for always whining no matter what Sony offers. if Dying Light and Dark Souls remastered was free people would cry about them already having the game or that they are old. if they gave away God of War and Red Dead II people would bitch that they already had it. (I have them both but would be amazed if Sony handed them out next month).

I have been happy with every single month of PS+ for several years straight. I already had Arkham Knight, Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us Remastered, to name just a few, but I did not complain, those are amazing games that everyone deserves a chance to play.

now THIS MONTH Sony ACTUALLY gave us the worst month in history, so maybe the crybabies should be a little more appreciative when Sony gives us good months like they have for 48 months straight. if I were Sony, I too would be like **** you guys, here's two garbage games since all you do is bitch anyways.

By your 'logic' then, it's OK to complain about the offerings if they're games you DON'T like, but otherwise people are just crybabies if they complain about games you DO like. That's exactly what you're saying.

In fact, this is THE weekend that anyone who hasn't planted their own food seriously needs to start learning. It's easy: Buy seeds, put in dirt, water thoroughly when dry (NOT daily), remove invading weeds.

...and since that'll take maybe an hour each morning, it leaves the rest of your day for virtual activities like the two solid ~free games here!

@nsignific: Well, that's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. I personally feel Just Cause has some fun to it, but that said, it's mostly just a bunch of mindless action without any real structure or story to it. To me, the quality of an FF game does vary, but at least you're doing something with an ultimate purpose because it does have a story that gives you an incentive to keep progressing within the game. And I do like the combat as well (most of the time, anyway, like I said the quality does vary).

Played FF15 for about 90 minutes, and it is just awful. Haven't liked any of them post-SNES era. Just melodramatic anime garbage, unlikeable characters, filler, and heavy-handed menus/dialog boxes. Would rather grind stats and min/max without all that.

At least Just Cause games are like a sandbox of things you can string together in interesting ways.

D+ Sony: Could have done better, especially while we are in lockdown.

Due to the myriad farming sims out there I decided to try one about 18 months ago and found it to be one of the most boring micromanagement games I've ever played. My OCD kicked in and I ended up platinuming the game but there is no way I'm ever playing a farm sim again. (Story over😶)

Maybe I'll have a look at Cities: Skyline but it isn't a priority.
