Mayans MC Renewed For Season 2
Season 2 arrives in 2019.
Mayans MC, the Sons of Anarchy spinoff that was popular right out of the gate, has unsurprisingly been renewed for a second season. Network FX announced today, in the middle of the first season's 10-episode first season, that the show is coming back for Season 2 in 2019.
FX executive Nick Grad said the show is "performing fantastically," according to Variety. "We couldn't be more excited to take this ride to a second season."

Season 1 premiered in early September. According to Variety, Mayans MC has been popular from the beginning; it is currently averaging 8.2 million viewers per episode.
Mayans MC follows Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, who is played by JD Pardo. After getting out of prison, EZ becomes a prospect in the Mayans M.C. character near the border of California and Mexico. The show also features Edwards James Olmos.
The show was created by Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter and Elgin James. In an Instagram post, Sutter used more colourful language to express his excitement about Mayans MC getting renewed. "Season 2 motherf**kers!" he wrote.
