May's New PS Now Games For PS4 And PC Include Rainbow Six Siege
This month's slate of PS Now games includes the breach-and-clear Siege and the horror shooter The Evil Within 2.
Sony has detailed the trio of new games coming to its PS Now streaming service for PC and PS4 this month, and none of them are for the faint of heart. The base edition of the acclaimed team-based tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege leads the charge this month.
The survival-horror shooter The Evil Within 2 also comes to PS Now. Produced by game developer Shinji Mikami--who is best-known as the director behind the landmark Resident Evil 4--the 2017 sequel garnered more positive reviews than the original game in the series. The psychological horror game Get Even comes to the service as well. Starring a protagonist with the ability to delve into the memories of strangers, Get Even is a deeply unsettling game that mixes a variety of genres.
Originally released to a muted response back in 2015, after five years of updates, Rainbow Six Siege is one of the best multiplayer games you can play today. We recently re-reviewed it, and our critic Mat Paget gave the game a rare 10, calling it not only a compelling shooter, but one of the best examples of the genre. According to the announcement, Siege will leave PS Now on November 2, 2020.
Over the past few months, Sony has released more games for its PS Now service in order to compete with Microsoft's similar Xbox Game Pass service. While PS Now was initially a streaming service alone, it also allows you to download the games for local play, but only on a PS4. PS Now is a separate service from PS Plus, which enables online play and gives access to an entirely different slate of free games each month. This month's games include Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19.
