MechCommander 2 Web Site Launches

Microsoft has announced the launch of the official MechCommander 2 online site. The Web site features an extensive collection of information about the upcoming real-time tactical game based on the BattleTech tabletop role-playing strategy game. In addition to a full list of features included in the game, the official site contains an interview with Mitch Gitelman, the program manager for MechCommander 2; a number of screenshots; and a downloadable video clip showing some in-game footage. Other features on the site include background information about the BattleTech story and a MechBay section that offers in-depth looks at individual mechs. MechCommander 2 is scheduled for a spring 2001 release.
