Medal of Honor add-on name change complete
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Spearhead will be the title of the forthcoming shooter expansion.
This morning, Electronic Arts finally settled on a name for the heretofore nameless forthcoming expansion pack to its popular first-person shooter, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Originally, the company had referred to the add-on simply as Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Expansion Pack, though the company was also considering names like Team Assault and Reload. As of today, however, the add-on will be officially called Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Spearhead.
Spearhead will let players participate in nine new single-player levels that take place in Northern Europe during World War II, culminating with the invasion of Berlin. The game will rely heavily on squad-based combat with AI teammates, and it will include 20 new British and Russian weapons. Spearhead will also include 15 new multiplayer maps, as well as a new multiplayer mode called tug of war.
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Spearhead is scheduled for release this fall, and it will require an original copy of Allied Assault to play. For more information on the game, take a look at our previous coverage.
