Meet Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City's Claire Redfield In New Video

The upcoming movie Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City relaunches the video game series to the big screen on November 24. And to celebrate the upcoming release of the movie, GameSpot is giving you an inside look at some of the characters from Welcome to Raccoon City. Every day this week, we'll be learning about a new character with a new video, starting with Claire Redfield.
In the new movie, Kaya Scodelario (Crawl, The Maze Runner) plays the iconic Claire Redfield. In the video, director Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) and Scodelario explain Claire's journey back to Raccoon City, and why she's returned. You can check out the video for yourself below.
"In our story, Claire Redfield is a runaway from Raccoon City," Roberts explains in the video. "She's runaway because she feels something was very wrong there. Now, she's coming back to tell her brother some very important information."
In Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, a group of people in the titular Midwestern town, which was once home to the Umbrella Corporation, try to survive. Since Umbrella left, the city is a wasteland and filled with evil. The survivors must find out what happened in Raccoon City and take Umbrella to task in order to make things right.
The film stars Robbie Amell (Upload) as Chris Redield, Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp) as Jill Valentine, Neal McDonough (The Flash) as William Birkin, Avan Jogia (Zombieland) as Leon Kennedy, and Tom Hopper (Black Sails) as Albert Wesker. Roberts will write and direct the film.
Recently, a trailer for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City was released for the upcoming November film, and it shows it's pretty faithful to the video game series. You can also check out our trailer breakdown as well.
There's also a Netflix live-action TV series coming in the near future. The show takes place in the future and follows the teenage daughters of Albert Wesker. So far, the only thing that's been released are photos of the cast.
