"It's dangerous to go alone."

The mental health awareness charity Take This, which GameSpot partnered with for a social media campaign in the past, has announced it will have an AFK Room at E3 2016. The room, where people can go to speak with experts about anxiety or to relax, already has a place at community gaming events such as PAX, but this is the first time it's coming to E3.

"One in four people struggle with mental health issues," Take This director Russ Pitts said in an email to GameSpot today. "Especially in the video game community, the idea that 'no one will miss me if I'm gone' is a pervasive one. Take This was founded to let people know how wrong that is, and that there's help for people with mental health issues."

The Take This AFK room at E3 2016 will be located in room 407 on the second floor of the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The Take This slogan is "It's dangerous to go alone," which is a line featured in 1986's The Legend of Zelda for NES. The second part of the quote is "take this."

Looking ahead, Take This will offer an AFK Room at other gaming events this year including QuakeCon, PAX Prime, and PAX Australia. You can learn more about the charity here.

Some of Take This' sponsors include Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Double Fine, BioWare, Adult Swim Games, Bethesda, and Gearbox Software.
