Metal Gear Solid 2 set for November release
Konami pins down a general launch schedule for the North American release of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.
On Thursday, Konami announced that it will release Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for the North American PlayStation 2 this November. The Japanese release will follow one month later in December. According to Konami, the reason for the earlier release in North America is to coincide with the holiday shopping season, beginning Thanksgiving Day. The game was originally planned for a simultaneous worldwide release. Released in September 1998, the first Metal Gear Solid game for the PlayStation has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide to date.
