Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes release date announced, Xbox-exclusive content detailed

It`s foolish to buy a 500$ box because of 1 game. 1 that`s around 2 hours long.

use your brain. buy it on the console you have. or wait until it`s discounted or bundled with the phantom pain.

This may be THE main reason I end up buying the XBOX ONE. The only one of the MGS series that needed to get an upgrade graphics wise is MGS1. So THE last thing I want is a damn polygon Snake in the Next Gen game. Still can't stand the fact that I have to break out the gamecube just to play it with better graphics. Granted, the Raiden content probably won't hold my interest long after a couple runs thru, but hey.

I guess I'm buying the XONE version, then.

lmao at so many kids on here thinking that the metal gear series originated on playstation brand hardware. whether the series didnt reach its current level of popularity thanks to its presence on sony's console or not doesnt matter. many gamers who bought metal gear solid bought it because it reminded them of the nintendo and msx metal gear games they played in their youth, not just because it was a "solid" game. i was one of them.

Oh don't **** with us. I hope only the mission is exclussive, because playing with cyborg Raiden in a nice open world could be a great change of pace.

Meh, I'll have time to see while I wait for a full package that contains all of mgs5. I hate liking videogames lately.

it's a big game, and its developer and publisher insist on the tiny exclusive contents.

maybe they think we have Tiny Brains, but they are wrong. we are all gamers and we all play our games on our beloved consoles. whatever the damn exclusive content.

Of the 2 exclusives I find the Sony one far more appealing.

I skipped MGR because it was no true MG even though I`ve been rooting to play MGS with the ninja and now this guy makes it Xbone exclusive, Kojima for biggest troll eva?-__-

If Watch Dogs gets released anytime close to this, then this game is doomed to fail.

Exclusive content always sucks, just let everyone enjoy the entire game regardless of what platform they decide to play on.

I have a feeling that each of these exclusive content packs will, in reality, be available on the other console eventually. Probably just timed exclusive for each system.

A previous article on GameSpot said that Ground Zeroes would be download only on One and PS4, but download and retail for 360 and PS3. Clarification anyone?

As a member of Camp Sony, I'm not afraid to say I'm envious of Xbox's exclusive content. It may not make a lick of sense, but man does it look cool.

I was thinking I'd maybe try and hold off on getting Ground Zeroes until the inevitable complete edition with both parts of MGS V, but since the price of Ground Zeroes reflects it's status of prologue I'll probably jump on it when it comes out.

Ok well, after over half a dozen games, I'm kind of bored with MGS anyhow. I can wait to buy this used...if I buy it at all. I'm not one of those that was mad when it wasn't exclusive but this annoys me. When this comes out I'll be busy with Dark souls 2 any way. A game made by a company that doesn't screw with their customers and knows how to handle multiplatform games. EVENLY.

so let me get this straight XBOX user get to use raiden. not that i like raiden but at least they get something different which offer a certain degree of variety but PS user on the other hand get to use deju vu snake.Don't get me wrong I love solid snake (probably my favourite character of all time) but the fact is snake and solid snake are more less the same in terms of game-play. but that wasn't a enough we get to use him in 32 bit, which in this era isn't nostalgic its just down right stupid couldn't had given us GREY FOX or some other character, hell OLGA will suffice. forgive me if i sound like a fan-boy and no offence to XBOX user but METAL GEAR has been a PS exclusive franchise from MGS 1-4, and that was the best he has for us.

I know this may sound wierd, but is it dissapointing to anyone else that this is a cross gen title? I was looking forward to this as being an incentive to look at next gen but now ill just play the worse version on my 360. Its very telling when a company that put a huge gamble on the PS3 with MGS4 decides to do a multi let alone cross gen release. Dissapointing from the perspective that next gen consoles continually look less enticing for me to purchase.
