Metal Gear Solid Coming to GBC

Good news Game Boy Color owners! Arguably the biggest PlayStation hit of last year is now headed for the small screen. In the latest issue of Nintendo Power, Metal Gear Solid was announced for the Game Boy Color.

While there was no mention of a release date or any game details, just the news that MGS is headed to the Game Boy is sure to please most Nintendo enthusiasts. When GameSpot News contacted Konami of America on Monday about the Metal Gear Solid port, a spokesperson stated that if the game was indeed confirmed by Konami, the news will come from its Japanese parent, so no official announcement on if the game will show up stateside - yet.

Luckily, it also looks as though PlayStation owners will be getting another dose of Metal Gear action.. Konami hinted that a US release of its MGS Director's Cut, called Metal Gear Solid Integral in Japan, will be released later this year with a name change.
