It's worth noting that Konami and Sony have yet to confirm the validity of this store listing, as the game previously had a nebulous 2024 release window that came and went. At the end of October 2024, a Konami financial document had the release date listed as "TBD." A spokesperson for Konami told GameSpot, "Right now there's nothing new we can share at the moment."

Whether this is a placeholder date or the actual launch date remains to be seen, but with rumors of a February PlayStation State of Play livestream doing the rounds, it wouldn't be surprising to see updates on the game given its appearances in previous PlayStation broadcasts.

There wasn't too much information revealed about the game throughout 2024, beyond a trickle of gameplay details and an impressive Tokyo Game Show trailer in September. Some of the things we do know about it is that Konami is using Metal Gear Solid 3's original voice recordings for the remake and that it will offer players the option to use modern or classic controls when they play.

It has also been reported that in addition to its PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S launch, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater could also make its way to Switch 2.
