Developer Tom Happ, who created the game all by himself, announced the news in a press release. Axiom Verge is already available on PS4 and PC. The game is planned to release on the Vita this year as well, though no exact release date has been confirmed for the handheld, Xbox One, or Wii U.
The Metroid-like game features a gun that lets you create glitches, which allows you to make a mess of enemies, take advantage of the environment, and access new areas.
GameSpot scored Axiom Verge an 8 in its review, which said it's not a stretch to say that Axiom Verge is better than the games that inspired it, because it's so inventive and thoughtfully crafted.
