Microsoft exec on Crackdown: "I want a future for it on Xbox One"

Never got into these games, It ried it but it just got SO repetitive/boring.

It reminded me of like Prototype, but not as interesting in terms of your powers, just a lot of jumping, and jumping, and more jumping.

There is no future for the Xbone

Was this game any good back in the day? I never played it on 360 and the vids I saw back then didn't really pique my interest...but who knows, may have been better than my first impressions of it.

As long as Ruffian is kept away from it, I want a third Crackdown, too.

If he's the VP it should be made. First one is the best 2nd one was the same game world and I hate that. Need a developer that makes great looking games and it is a Xbox exclusive. Make it like the first one with a huge realistic looking game world and add some new things

Being the first game to offer a really innovative spin on the beaten into the ground sand box genre, I'd hope there would be enough interest for a third game. I REALLY liked the first Crackdown, and had fun with the second. Volition also comes to mind as a dev that might be able to deliver the goods for this possibility. Consider my copy pre-ordered if it happens.

The first Crackdown was very good, but the second one fell short of the mark. The franchise has potential but it need to be in the hands of a developer that knows what they are doing.

We need to CRACKDOWN on all this confusion once and for all!!!..........

Crackdown has a decent concept they just never manage to really execute on it properly. Generally there is just never much to do, you play through a handful of repetitive scenarios until you level up all your gear then there's nothing to do. Even the path to maxing your gear and vehicles is pretty tedious after a while b/c the events are not that varied.

Seeing your character, gear and vehicles evolve is all great and using the powers as they grow stronger is fun and the game even has a decent look and art style but all that is moot when there's just nothing to do. If they actually take a more GTA approach and craft a story with things to do along the way that would help. Can't just have a bunch of random repeating events and call that content.

Crackdown was fun for a while, but mediocre overall. I only think it sold well due to the Halo 3 beta being included... not that I thought Halo 3 was that great, either.

Games like Infamous and Saints Row 4 far surpassed anything Crackdown tried to do.

Better be like Crackdown 1 with all the cool boss fights. If they're going to make it like that P.O.S. that is 2 don't bother.

Soooooo............it's just a reskinned Halo.

How about a new Brute Force game, Bloodwake. Crimson Skies, Mech Assault, Shenmue 3 and Jade Empire and if I can make this list go on for ever if I could remember most of Xbox originals exclusives I would list them.

I loved the original Crackdown, even finished the campaign. Crackdown 2 was almost as good but the whole freaks come out at night thing ruined it for me and i stopped playing. If they manage to bring this out with next gen in mind and NO old gen compromises I might consider getting the Xbox One as long as the game runs at 1080p.

I know I'd buy a Crackdown 3 on Xbox One. I still remember being surprised at how good the first one was when it was just a body for the Halo 3 beta. I really enjoy these games, and even Saints Row 4 felt like Crackdown 3.

It would be nice to see a new Crackdown game.

Crackdown 1, GTA V, Just Cause 2, GTA: SA are my all time fav open world games. I absolutely loved Crackdown 1 and was ok with Crackdown 2. I'd just like Crackdown 3 to be more like Crackdown 1 with new islands, new maps and added abilities.

If you want Gears of War and Crackdown to return why don't you go down there ask yourself instead asking the media about it.

It gets you nowhere . Next Want more big exclusives to return

I hope Crackdown comes back.
