Mighty No. 9 Dev Calls New Trailer "Unforgivable," Blames Deep Silver
Takuya Aizu is not happy.
The head of Mighty No. 9 developer Inti Creates has expressed his dislike of the game's latest trailer and blamed publisher Deep Silver for it.
Posting on Twitter, Inti Creates chief executive Takuya Aizu described the trailer as "horrible."

He continued: What the hell was D*** *il*** thinking making a crappy PV like this?! Unforgivable."
The concealed letters are presumably a reference to Deep Silver, which Aizu has seemingly opted not to directly call out, or make it difficult to find the tweet by searching for the publisher's name on Twitter.
The trailer, which you can watch above, was released on May 25. It has garnered criticism for a derisive reference to anime fans and concern regarding the visual fidelity of the game.
At one point during the trailer the narrator says the player can "make the bad guys cry like an anime fan on prom night." This has not gone down well. The trailer currently has over 11,000 downvotes on YouTube, and 1,300 upvotes.
A scene of the main character running as an explosion erupts behind him has also been ridiculed, with the fire effect being described as looking like slices of pizza crammed together.
Even the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account has got in on the act.

Following multiple delays, Mighty No. 9 has officially "gone gold" and will launch on June 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. Versions of the game for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita will come "at a later point."
