Doritos has run plenty of video game promotions in the past, but PepsiCo's popular chips are going even further for A Minecraft Movie. This time, Doritos is not only introducing two new flavors themed around Minecraft's Creepers and Ghasts, it's also unveiling square Doritos that would be right at home in the aesthetic of the game itself.

As reported in The Grocer, the Creeper-inspired Doritos will be flavored with vinegar, while the Ghast chips are BBQ. Following A Minecraft Movie's promotional period, both flavors will become a permanent part of Doritos' lineup of favors under the names Zingy Vinegar Blast and BBQ Sweet Tang. News about the chips has only been shared in the UK media, so it's unclear if or when these will be released internationally.

From February 17 to April 13, Doritos will also run a contest in the United Kingdom that lets fans search for square Doritos by either finding QR codes on packaging or by finding actual square-shaped Doritos. The prizes for the winners include Minecraft-themed merchandise, tickets to see A Minecraft Movie, and even cash.

Director Jared Hess has previously explained why the film is called A Minecraft Movie instead of The Minecraft Movie. The flick features Jack Black as Steve, with Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen as a group of ordinary people who are thrust into the square-shaped world of Minecraft. A Minecraft Movie will hit theaters on April 4.
