Minecraft Movie Screenings Now Include These Disclaimers

Screenings of A Minecraft movie now have a disclaimer before the movie starts. This is most likely a response due to some of the reported ruckus happening in theaters showing the movie.

A recent recording of someone at A Minecraft Movie showing displayed the new disclaimer. It goes, "Be kind, be respectful. Remember that popcorn buckets are not to be used as Ender Pearls." In Minecraft, an Ender Pearl is an item that can be thrown and it teleports the thrower to where it lands.

Cops have been called into showings of the movie in response to moviegoers throwing popcorn, so this disclaimer is presumably to dissuade this behavior.

Jack Black, who plays the main protagonist, Steve, also appeared at a screening and asked fans not to throw popcorn all over the theater.

The movie has been a hit and is currently the second-highest-grossing video game movie of all time behind The Super Mario Bros. Movie, even surpassing its opening weekend. Warner Bros. boss Mike De Luca said that while an official deal to make A Minecraft Movie sequel hasn't been drafted yet, the company is looking into making one "imminently."

In GameSpot's A Minecraft Movie review, we said, "If Jack Black adventuring around the Overworld sounds fun, you're going to enjoy this movie."
