@juliano001 You have obviously have never punched a tree before if that is your take on the game. @AmorDeRey1988 What do you mean the PS3 can't handle Minecraft? It's a waste to make Minecraft for the consoles in the first place and secondly, you can play Minecraft on a 10 year old computer. Just learn about computers and how they work before you start saying things you don't understand.

You can farm, dig, experiment with water, fight zombies, whatever you want! The fact that you judged it by the graphics is an indication of your logic failure. L2JUDGE

I don't play but congrats. It's come so far so fast. I played like once but didn't do anything :P.

This shows the future of gaming. Gamers don't like the shallow, insipid, games of the major publishers that have to produce "generic" games that sell to everyone (but don't!). Meaning games like Minecraft, Witcher, Galactic Civilizations, STALKER, etc, go on to sell millions because they are the antithesis of shallow and generic! Expect this latter group to expand over the next 5 years and the big software houses we have got used to wither and die. Unless they can find a way to bring games to market for $10 million instead of $30 million and thereby be able to go after the large niche markets and still make a profit!.

@Spartan_418 Why do you Minecraft fans always assume that people who don't like it haven't played it? You people need to stop pretending it's the most amazing game ever and that people can't possible dislike it if they give it a chance. I have tried it and I got extremely bored within a few hours, I grew out of building blocks when I was a child. As for the other elements of the game I couldn't stop laughing at how utterly terribly and amateurish they are.

@Infinity_Gauntl Im going to have to agree with SierraScorpion! I was at first really iffy about this game a few months back. Its like any other indie genre, once you get the learning curve sorted the game flows nicely. Sure the graphics are far from what you woud expect but it makes up for it in sheer gameplay and enjoyment. At the end of the day its how the game plays, not based on how fancy the environment is.

@Infinity_Gauntl Dude, just because a game has bad graphics doesn't mean its bad. And its people like you who literally judge a game by its screens that only play games, no matter how bad they are, that look amazing but suck overall. So much for you to learn, child...

And how is this game selling? Looking at the screens this game looks really bad.

Is the game going to change at all when it goes to Xbox?

@Tripwolf Notch isn't lazy, Minecraft is updated on a pretty solid basis.

Minecraft isn't my type of game but hey congrats to the creator eitherway. Maybe when the final product is pushed out I might pick up a copy... Then again thats a big maybe since the game is alot like tetris... Your either gonna love it to death or just hate it soo...

@Tripwolf Terraria and Minecraft are both great games in their own right, but very different. Minecraft is all about exploration and discovery (given that the worlds are literally endless) and Terraria is more about killing monsters and getting better armor/weapons. Both games are extreamly fun and I have respect for all of the devs involved with both games. What I dont have respect for are trolls like you.

Terraria is better in every way. Get it off Steam and never look back. Unlike Notch, the devs for that game aren't lazy.

It's a cool game that has a lot of potential which is definitely being brought out with updates and ideas from the users through creativity and hacks. It still is a kinda "pointless" type game, and probably will be, but that doesn't mean it's not fun. :] Here's to hoping they'll make some kinda story or campaign to go along with it.

Great game. Let me emphasize its ORIGINAL something companies really forgot about when they wanted play it safe sequels year after year. This game invented its own genre really and notch deserves all the money and success he made from this.

It will spawn countless imitators but maybe that is a good thing. Long live sandbox style games.

@jamyskis have you played Terraria? it isn't exactly a Minecraft ripoff. It takes the idea of a mining game in a different direction, and you can easily enjoy playing both. And no, I don't like Call of Duty.

I've been playing MC for a while now, and most people don't play for its survival mode or to achieve some kind of ultimate goal. They come in to build, and that is what makes Minecraft so unique. It's like being handled a Lego set which you have to earn, and I'm guessing Lego are kicking themselves that they didn't react to this rather obvious but ingenious concept. There's nothing like having a huge tower, mansion or statue to have that you can show off to the rest of your server community. And to those praising Terraria: good to see that you're encouraging the practice of ripping off other people's ideas and adding little innovation except a 2D slant. I guess you guys keep buying Call of Duty as well.

This is why Pc's are superior in every way possible. :)

Sweet this game is AWESOME, ive got a server going with some friends and were havin a hayday building. For anyone that tried the free older singplayer and found it boring, get on a server and play with some other people its a blast.

@Blink3r I scanned you with my satellite's imagination detector ray and it didn't detect any. So, that explains why you didn't like the game.

@NeilCardiff lolno. Fallout 3 is no longer in development and BethSoft is hardly an indie developer, Minecraft and Mojang are dependent on sales so that development work can continue and a polished final product can be released. Oh, and Minecraft is a fun game, you should try it :3
